FRANK
KNIGHT
was a
mathematician at the U. of C. when he started
climbing with the UCMC. He is now an emeritus Professor of Mathematics
at the U. of Illinois. Frank was as good a climbing
partner as I have known. He never complained, was as
willing to lead as follow, was as able on snow and ice as rock,
always carried at least his share of the load. If the going got
tougher than we bargained for, Frank just grinned a little more.
